Two new companies join Aider: The Østfold expansion now truly begins

Exakt Regnskapsbyrå and Concepta Partner are joining Aider, marking the launch of an ambitious regional growth initiative. – We have a clear ambition to become Østfolds leading competence house within accounting, and we are already well on our way, says Aider CEO, Andreas Vik.


New offices in Fredrikstad and Rakkestad


Since Aider opened its Sarpsborg office in August, the team has already grown to ten employees. With the two new accounting and advisory environments – from Fredrikstad and Rakkestad – now joining the competence house, the region will consist of more than 40 Aider professionals.


– We represent something new, and in true Aider fashion, we have established a rather unconventional accounting environment here in Østfold. With strong tech expertise and highly energetic people, we have attracted ambitious companies looking to streamline their processes through smarter use of technology. With these mergers, we now have a platform that enables us to support even more potential clients across the region.


 
 

Opportunities without commuting


Robin Aleksander Olsen, Regional Director in Østfold, agrees that this marks a new starting point for regional growth. Importantly, it will also make it easier to attract more talented professionals.


– Several colleagues here at the office, myself included, are Østfold natives who have returned. With a national competence house in your own local area, you no longer need to move to Oslo to find exciting roles within the finance domain. You get all the opportunities without the commute, says Olsen, who encourages curious accountants, finance professionals and system consultants to get in touch.

– Growth creates new opportunities for both employees and clients. With the teams from Fredrikstad and Rakkestad now joining us, our employees gain even more development opportunities, while we can offer an even broader service portfolio to our clients.


Jørgen Nymo, Office Manager for the new Aider location in Fredrikstad, says the past few months have come with a fair share of butterflies.


– Exakt Regnskapsbyrå is a 43 year old company and something of a local institution here in Fredrikstad, so joining this journey is a major milestone for us. But it is absolutely essential to me that my employees thrive and are given space to develop. At the Aider competence house, they simply get the opportunity to take the next step.


Locally rooted


In Rakkestad, there are also high expectations linked to the merger. It is more than 20 years since Vidar Andersen and Bjørg Dalane founded Concepta Partner – with a philosophy not entirely unlike Aiders.


– Since 2001, we have delivered a comprehensive concept at the intersection of accounting, advisory, and finance. Although we have grown into a team of 17 skilled employees over time, we see that it is difficult to stand alone in this industry. We need stronger resources and even more technology expertise, and Aider was the perfect match for us, explains Andersen.


Dalane, like the others, is focused on the many opportunities this creates for both current and future employees. However, she emphasises that clients will also benefit from the merger.


We remain locally grounded but with access to a national competence house. We gain more resources to develop systems, integrations, and entirely new service areas. The collaboration with clients will remain just as close, but they will simply have more options should they require other forms of specialised expertise.
