Aider continues its national growth journey and is now acquiring the accounting and advisory firm Atenti, with nearly 70 employees across four offices in Telemark and Vestfold. With this acquisition, Aider becomes the leading player within accounting and advisory services in the region.

With this merger, we are stepping up to the next level in the region, says Lars Erik Løberg, Partner at Aider.

Four new offices and stronger professional environments

Since 2003, Atenti has established itself as a strong player in the region, with offices in Grenland, Tønsberg, Larvik and Revetal. Following the acquisition, these will become part of Aiders continuously growing network. Atenti and Aider have already worked closely together in Grenland, and the presence is now being significantly strengthened.

– Atenti has a strong reputation and a set of values that align with ours. The acquisition means that we can offer even better services to even more clients, while simultaneously building even stronger professional environments, says Løberg

More technology and expertise under one roof

Atenti also brings its own IT department and will further strengthen Aiders technology environment, including Aider Tech, which already has a high level of activity in Grenland.

– With more skilled people and specialised expertise in systems, we will become more effective across the entire service range, from accounting and payroll to technology and advisory, says Løberg.

A natural merger for further growth

Erik Torp Johannessen, founder and Managing Director of Atenti, explains that the company has faced increasing regulatory complexity over time, along with the need for greater resources.

– We have not been for sale, but it became clear that we need a partner to continue to grow. With Aider, we gain access to a larger professional environment, more tools and even greater capacity. At the same time, we can remain ourselves, just stronger, says Johannessen.

Ready for new markets and larger clients

Johannessen emphasises that clients will still meet the same people at Atenti, but now with the support of a large national competence house.

– We gain the confidence to engage more strongly in larger markets. We have always been a close and local partner, and we will continue to be so, only with more strength behind us.
