Aider acquires Regnskap Sør – growth continues in Mandal.

The competence firm Aider continues its growth in Mandal and strengthens its position in Lindesnes Municipality through the acquisition of the accounting firm Regnskap Sør in Mandal. With this, Aider’s professional environment in Mandal becomes even stronger and further solidifies its position as the largest provider of finance and advisory services in the city, while also signaling a clear commitment to the agriculture sector.

– This is primarily about building a strong and future-oriented professional environment in Mandal, says Trond Haven, CEO of Regnskap Sør.

For several decades, Regnskap Sør has assisted small and medium-sized businesses in Mandal and the former Marnardal municipality with accounting, payroll, and financial advisory services. The company has had a particularly strong collaboration with agricultural clients in the area. Now, it is becoming part of Aider, which has already established itself in new, modern premises at Skinsnes.

-By joining Aider, we can offer our clients a much broader range of expertise, while continuing to maintain a strong local presence. This is positive for us, our clients, and for the business community across the region, says Haven.

Bringing together the professional teams in Manda

The two teams will be co-located in Aider’s offices at Skinsnes and will together consist of 22 employees. This means Mandal is emerging as one of the largest finance and accounting hubs in Southern Norway outside the major cities.

Haven emphasizes that clients will continue to work with the same advisors as before, but with new opportunities:

-We gain access to over 1,500 colleagues with specialist expertise in areas such as technology, HR, restructuring, and sustainability reporting. This enables us to take on larger and more complex assignments than before.

Mandal takes a clearer role

Ole Christian Pedersen, office manager for Aider in Mandal, sees the acquisition as more than just growth in headcount.

“By joining forces with Regnskap Sør, this is a clear strategic choice. We are building Mandal’s strongest professional environment in finance and advisory, making us a natural partner for an increasing number of businesses in the region. At the same time, we are creating a social and professional environment that is attractive to both recent graduates and experienced advisors.”

Pedersen believes the development points in one direction:

“This demonstrates that Mandal has all the prerequisites to take on a stronger role as a hub of expertise in Southern Norway. You don’t need a big-city address to have an exciting career. With Aider backing us, we are building something significant in Mandal.”
