Aider expands beyond Norway for the first time. With more than 1300 employees in six years, the company is now taking its first step into Europe, launching a major initiative in Denmark.
Since its inception in 2019, Aider has grown rapidly and with clear intent. With the ambition to redefine the accounting industry, the company has established itself as a leading player in Norway. The starting signal has now been given for Aiders first international expansion – in Denmark.
– We have experienced tremendous growth and achieved a great deal in a short period of time in Norway. The time has now come to take our model, culture, and strategy further into Europe, beginning with Denmark, says Andreas Vik, founder and CEO of Aider.
It is Claus Bonde Hansen, former Head of Audit at BDO Denmark, who will lead the Aider initiative in Denmark. With more than 30 years of experience in auditing and quality assurance, he is ready to establish Aider in a new market.
I was inspired by Aiders energy and rapid growth. The model of short decision making processes combined with acquisitions and organic growth has proven successful, and we are now bringing it into the Danish market, says Bonde Hansen.
The experienced auditor and former BDO executive sees many similarities between the Norwegian and Danish accounting markets. Increasing regulatory requirements and rapid technological change make it challenging for small and medium sized accounting firms to keep pace.
– We will make it easier for the firms to focus on their core tasks. With Aider, they gain a platform for growth, quality and client customisation. At the same time, an increasing number of clients are looking for one total provider. We will meet that need in an efficient and professional manner, says Bonde Hansen.
The initiative in Denmark will strengthen Aiders offering not only abroad but also in Norway. This opens new doors for clients with international ambitions and creates additional development opportunities for our employees. Our growth model is local, yet globally enabled. Denmark is only the beginning, says Andreas Vik.
Both Vik and Bonde Hansen have previous backgrounds with BDO, where they led the accounting business in their respective countries. They are now reunited – this time under the Aider banner.
With Claus leading our Danish operations, we have the best possible foundation for success. Denmark needs a player that challenges conventional thinking within accounting and advisory services, and that is exactly what we deliver, says Vik.
