Aider secures new Odd contract
Aider strengthens its collaboration with the football team Odd and enters into a five year contract. – This is an important arena for engaging with the business community, and we greatly appreciate being part of Odds network, says Anders Aasen, Business Developer at Aider.
The newly signed agreement with the Telemark based team Odd extends far beyond a traditional sponsorship and consists of two separate partnerships. While the Aider name will appear on the team jersey, their accounting will also be entrusted to us.
– They are essentially outsourcing everything except the tasks of the CFO. Being selected as the preferred outsourcing partner for such a large and well managed football club is a strong vote of confidence, says Aasen.
High expectations
Both Tet and R8 Consulting – now part of Aider – have previously worked with the football team from Telemark. For Aasen, securing a long term contract with Odd represents a full circle moment.
– Aider provides substantial support to grassroots sports, and we will continue to do so. At the same time, we also intend to support elite level sports, and this initiative is part of that effort.
Aasen does not hide the fact that the football club has high expectations off the pitch as well. He considers this a positive thing.
– We welcome challenges and appreciate active clients who demand efficient delivery. It keeps us sharp. Odd is part of Norwegian top level football, which comes with specific requirements. This means they need a dynamic partner who understands the importance of accurate information. Increasingly, we are that partner, he says.
Outsourcing is a clear trend
It is not only in the world of football that major organisations are choosing to outsource an increasing share of their accounting activities.
– There is a clear trend in the market. Developments are moving in the direction of larger companies outsourcing more.
However, Aasen cannot promise that accuracy in accounting will lead to greater precision in passing and shooting.
– We will now help them streamline both accounting and financial systems, but whether that results in efficiency in front of goal remains to be seen. We have great confidence in the upcoming season. Go Oddrane!
