Bedre Økonomitjenester becomes part of the competence house Aider

The competence house Aider demonstrates its strong ambitions for the Helgeland coast: it is now acquiring the accounting firm Bedre Økonomitjenester and doubling its own size in Mo i Rana. Within just six months, we have gone from not being present in the region to becoming one of the largest players. This clearly reflects our level of ambition, says Christian Langseth, Regional Director for Mid-North at Aider.

Strengthening expertise while preserving local presence

Bedre Økonomitjenester was founded by Bjørn Einar Valle in 2013. Since then, the accounting firm has grown to a total of nine employees – seven in Mo i Rana and two in Hamarøy. The time had now come to become part of something larger:

–  By joining Aider, we gain access to deeper, more specialized, and broader expertise under one roof. This enables us to support our clients more efficiently across a wider range of challenges, while still maintaining our local identity and close relationships with our clients, says Valle.

Always going the extra mile

The founder also emphasizes that the merger creates opportunities not only for clients, but also for employees.

–  It is important that our employees feel they always have room to grow. Aider is now Norway’s largest player within accounting and advisory services and continues to grow rapidly. This creates strong internal opportunities, while also making us more attractive in the competition for new talent. As technologies and systems evolve, it is ultimately your people who matter most, he says.

Ørjan Johansen, Office Manager for Aider in Mo i Rana, is very pleased to welcome Bedre Økonomitjenester to the team. He speaks highly of his new colleagues:

–  They have an excellent reputation in the region, and we have known of them for a long time. We were already aware that they were a well run company, but we now also know that they share our values. In addition, they are a friendly, curious, and open minded team that consistently goes the extra mile for their clients. In hindsight, we should have started this dialogue much earlier, he says.

A place worth moving back to

The merger comes just months after Aider’s acquisition of Total Regnskap, which marked the competence house’s first establishment in Mo i Rana. Aider already has offices in Mosjøen and Brønnøysund.

- We have a clear strategy to become a significant player in, and not least for, the Helgeland region. The local business community now gains access to national expertise delivered locally, and we aim to contribute to strengthening both small and large businesses across the region, says Johansen, supported by Regional Director Langseth:

- We also aim to be a strong talent magnet. We want to demonstrate that attractive and exciting career opportunities exist outside the major cities. If you have roots along the coast and competencies that align with Aider – whether in technology, finance, or other disciplines – we want to be a compelling reason to return home.
