Breiland Økonomi was established in 2017, after Leif-Asbjørn Breiland had spent his entire career in auditing. Within a few years, the office grew to five employees and built a solid client base in Bodø and Nordland.

– I started alone, but quickly realized I needed to hire more people to reduce vulnerability. The merger with Aider is based on the same principle – that we are stronger together, says Breiland.

Security and increased capacity for clients

Breiland emphasizes that joining a larger environment provides greater security, both for employees and clients.

– We know our clients expect stability, accessibility and quality. At Aider, we receive support to deliver on all three. In addition, we have more time to provide advice and solve challenges – even those our clients may not yet be aware of, he says.

Locally rooted, nationally connected

A key reason Breiland chose Aider was the unique organizational model, combining local autonomy with national support.

– Aider allows us the freedom to continue in our North Norwegian way while being part of a strong professional community. There is no internal competition – we make each other better. That is what I am most excited about, says Breiland.

Clear growth strategy in Bodø

Breiland and colleagues are already established in Aiders offices in Bodø, where the team now totals 15 employees. Office Manager Glenn Håvar Brottveit has clear ambitions for the region:

– We aim to become the preferred provider of accounting and advisory services in Bodø. It is not necessarily about being the largest, but about delivering the best. The Breiland team brings values and expertise that fit perfectly with us, says Brottveit.

More services and greater opportunities

With the acquisition, Aider strengthens its presence in Nordland and expands capacity across everything from traditional accounting services to technology advisory and sustainability reporting.

– This gives us new momentum, and we already see that we will need more talented people going forward. Now we begin the next chapter – together, concludes Brottveit.
