Aider opens a new office in Trondheim: Folde Accounting and Advisory joins the team

The Trøndelag based Folde Accounting and Advisory AS has experienced steady growth since its establishment in 2001. The company now celebrates its 25 year anniversary by becoming part of the competence house Aider. It is an exceptionally well run company that shares our philosophy, says Veronika Farstad, Office Manager for Aider in Trondheim, about the newest addition.

An accounting firm built on loyalty and quality

From its offices in Heimdal, Trondheim, the accounting and advisory firm has been a true symbol of stability. Its very first client is still with the company 25 years later, and six of its nine employees have been with the firm for more than twelve years.

These are clear indicators of both high quality service delivery and a strong working environment, and this is an impression that has been confirmed throughout our meetings. Folde goes to great lengths to take care of both clients and employees, which is likely a key reason why they have consistently delivered strong results over many years, says Farstad.

Is of great significance

For CEO Barbro Folde and Chairman Lars Aage Folde, the desire for a broader service offering was a key factor in joining Aider.

- Our clients are increasingly facing more complex challenges. This means we need to bring in additional expertise, but we are not large enough to hire our own lawyers, auditors, or technology specialists. Now, we gain access to these resources regardless, says Folde, adding:

–  Being able to quickly and directly support our clients with everything from technical integrations to complex tax matters is highly valuable for both us and our clients.

Aider was not the first party to show interest in the Trøndelag based firm, Folde explains. However, with Aider, they experienced a strong cultural and strategic fit.

We are committed to preserving everything that has worked well for us, and Aider provides us with that level of autonomy. They have great respect for the fact that we know our clients best, and we share the same perspective on the importance of putting people first. As a result, this development has been very well received by both our clients and our employees, she says.

Room for further growth

Veronika Farstad at Aider is not only highly pleased to welcome nine new employees to the team, she can also mark another district on the map of the Trondheim region.

Folde Accounting is located between Melhus and northeastern Trondheim, where we already have offices. Heimdal is also a key hub and a major access point into the city, and we prefer to be present where activity is highest, says Farstad, who already has plans to accelerate development:

–  We will now exchange experience and scale growth on both sides of the city. The new offices in Heimdal are excellent, and most importantly, there is room for even more talented people.
