Haugerud Accounting Office becomes part of Aider
Aider gains 18 employees and two new office locations as they merge with Haugerud Accounting Office. “This is a company with an outstanding reputation, and we are thrilled to have them on board,” says Patricia Olsson, Regional Manager for Southeast at Aider.
Excellent reputation
Haugerud Accounting Office has a history spanning several decades, and today the traditional Telemark-based company has offices in Notodden and Bø. Its growth has been driven by strong recommendations from both clients and auditors. Olsson highlights the firm’s excellent reputation as the key factor behind Aider’s interest:
“The fact that they are highly regarded here in East and Central Telemark has been impossible to ignore. No matter who we speak to, they point to Haugerud as the best people in the region. Naturally, that piqued our curiosity.”
Nothing can slow us down anymore
That curiosity eventually led to productive discussions—and ultimately to an agreement on the merger. For Tor Arne Haugerud, CEO of Haugerud Accounting Office, it was about not falling behind.
“We’ve always managed to keep up with the times, but now we see that technology is starting to outpace us. With developments in areas like AI accelerating as they are, we simply need a larger environment,” he says.
By becoming part of Aider, the firm gains greater security and access to more expertise, new technology, and additional resources.
–“In the past, we’ve had to decline certain larger assignments, but now nothing can hold us back. Moving forward, we will explore how to leverage Aider’s broad expertise—from law to technology—for the benefit of our clients,” he says.
Believes in strong growth
In addition to a broad service portfolio, Aider also has a deep commitment to Telemark—and respect for local roots. This has not gone unnoticed by Haugerud.
- It is absolutely crucial, both for us and our clients, that we are able to preserve our culture. We know our clients, and they know us. This allows our employees to take greater ownership of the entire process, says Haugerud, supported by Olsson:
- Our goal is to build on the strong foundation that Haugerud Accounting Office has established. We believe everything is in place for solid growth moving forward, and we will do our utmost to help make that growth possible.
Value in a competence house
In addition to gaining 18 skilled professionals on the team, Regional Manager Olsson can look forward to new Aider offices in two vibrant Telemark towns.
“With this merger, we gain premises in Notodden Technology Park, close proximity to university campuses in both Notodden and Bø, and easy access to Kongsberg. These are interesting locations at an exciting time,” says Olsson, concluding:
– Now we aim to make Aider even better known in the region and demonstrate to the business community the value that a full-service competence house can provide.
