Western Norway based Havtal has experienced strong growth since its establishment in 2017. The company is now joining the Aider competence house with three offices and 19 employees. – We will continue to grow and create modern, attractive workplaces in the region, says Tor Einar Erikstad, partner and Managing Director at Havtal.
Accounting is at the core of Havtals business, but it is far from a traditional accounting firm. Just like the company it is now joining, Havtal uses accounting as a foundation for financial management and advisory services.
– There is very little number crunching taking place at our offices. We also perform standard accounting tasks, but our main product is everything around it. Based on the accounts, we provide financial advice to coastal industries and other businesses in the region, Erikstad explains.

Havtal achieved “Gazelle company” status in 2021 and currently has offices in Mongstad, Askvoll and Solund. Erikstad acknowledges that they were beginning to feel some growing pains.
– When you reach around 20 employees, it requires a different type of administration than we have today. Until now, we have operated as a lean organisation, but we now recognise the need for a more robust structure to secure both quality and recruitment. Especially since we have a clear ambition to continue growing.
