IVAR IKS Chooses Aider as Technology Partner
The intermunicipal company IVAR provides water, sewage, and waste management services to over 360,000 residents in Rogaland. The company is now undergoing a major digital transformation and has chosen Aider as its partner.
When a framework agreement for critical system solutions expires, it can quickly become a source of stress and concern. For the forward-looking company IVAR, however, it was primarily an opportunity for renewal.
“We viewed this procurement as a golden opportunity to prepare the organization for the future. That’s why we conducted a thorough mapping exercise and developed a tender with a detailed set of requirements,” says Jan Erik Berning-Nummedal, Project Manager for ERP Integration at IVAR.
Clearly a Wealth of Expertise
As an intermunicipal company, IVAR is subject to numerous public laws and regulations, while at the same time operating largely like a private enterprise. This results in a range of complex challenges in day-to-day operations, making modern and efficient system solutions essential.
- One of our requirements was a fully cloud-based ERP system. Not everyone could offer this, but Aider provided both excellent solution proposals and, clearly, extensive knowledge and expertise on how to implement and use them, Berning-Nummedal explains.
As the winning bidder, Aider will now set up the new ERP platform, which consists of an integration hub connecting three different systems: Xledger for finance, SD Worx for HR and payroll, and Vieri for procurement. With a relatively tight schedule—launching on January 1, 2026—progress was also critical for IVAR.
“Aider had developed a structured plan for both implementation and onboarding, which was one of several decisive factors. Their solution-oriented and service-minded approach also made us feel comfortable with the entire process. We felt well taken care of even before we had signed the contract,” the project manager adds.
There’s a lot of potential to be realized here.
Kristina Lovise Eriksen, Partner at Aider, expresses her excitement over securing the contract with IVAR.
– We are genuinely proud to support an organization that delivers such critical services to so many people. What makes this especially rewarding is the engagement and openness of the IVAR team. From day one, they have demonstrated a strong willingness to embrace change, which motivates us to assist them in the best possible way throughout this transformation.
A reliable and trusted partner
When the new systems go live in 2026, Aider will continue to act as a key partner through maintenance, support, and service.
– We see ourselves as an extension of the client’s environment, and once everything is up and running, we will dedicate our resources to helping them maximize the value of their new systems. There’s a lot of potential to be realized here, says Eriksen, supported by Berning-Nummedal:
– Transformation is an ongoing process, and with Aider as our partner, we will continue to evolve. For now, we will reap the benefits of the new solutions while exploring further opportunities for automation and efficiency.
