Aider continues to realize its Northern European ambitions: after acquiring five companies in Sweden that provide accounting, payroll, and financial advisory services in recent months, Aider Sweden is now being launched.– This will be a powerful entity and a perfect starting point for further growth in Sweden, says Aider CEO Andreas Vik.

Just months after Aider accelerated its expansion in Denmark with the acquisition of Baker Tilly Denmark, the expertise firm is strengthening its foothold in neighboring Sweden. The companies Quality Consulting AB, Västsvenska Lönekonsulter AB, Economybyrå Sweden AB, Business Control Partner Norden AB, and EC Time AB will together form Aider in Sweden.
– We have already become Norway’s largest player in accounting and business advisory, and our ambition is to replicate that success in Sweden. By bringing in around 100 talented people across four Swedish cities, we’re getting a “flying start” on that journey, says Vik.
Aider is now well established in both Denmark and Poland, and Vik is clear that the goal is to become a leading Northern European competence house.
– Sweden was a natural next step on that journey. Their business landscape faces many of the same challenges as Norway’s, and we look forward to supporting clients operating across Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, he says.
In Sweden as well, Aider will offer a broad portfolio of services within accounting, payroll, and advisory. Part of the market adaptation will include a particular focus on interim solutions and outsourcing.
– In Sweden, this is an even larger market than in Norway, and an increasing number of companies are looking for a partner who can take full responsibility for their finance function. Aider brings this expertise together under one roof in a scalable way, says Martin Forssell, Head of Sales and Marketing for Aider in Sweden.
Forssell also emphasizes that Aider brings significant momentum into the Swedish market. He believes such a growth rate attracts talent and creates opportunities:
– Aider has grown from zero to over 2,000 employees in just under seven years and has completed 100 acquisitions. There is still a strong entrepreneurial spirit and energy in the company. That is something many people want to be part of. The combination of high pace and a “people first” culture means employees experience real opportunities for development, says Forssell.
Aider CEO Vik believes the Swedish establishment also marks the next step in the company’s evolution:
– We have invested significantly in technology, AI, and new service areas in recent years. As we continue to grow across the Nordics, we can combine these investments with strong local professional environments. This enables us to create more value and even better customer experiences in the years to come, he concludes.
