MDE Sigma, a technology-driven accounting firm based in Stavanger, is now joining the Aider competence house. The acquisition strengthens Aiders position in South West Norway and adds 12 new ERP experts to the regional office, all with specialised competence in large systems and complex client needs. “Going forward, we will deliver more, broader and better,” says Kristina Eriksen, founder and Managing Director of MDE Sigma.

From start-up to ERP specialists in record time

Since its establishment in 2020, MDE Sigma has grown from 1 to 12 employees, all with combined backgrounds in finance and technology. Rather than operating as a traditional accounting firm, the company has had a clear vision of streamlining the client journey through technology and subject-matter expertise.

“Our employees are technical economists who both manage accounting and implement ERP systems such as Tripletex, Xledger and PowerOffice Go,” Eriksen explains.

Aider – the only right choice

For Eriksen, Aider has long been the natural benchmark:

“We have followed Aiders journey closely, and it has almost been frustrating how similarly we think. When an acquisition became relevant, Aider was the only option. Culture, ambition and competence are an exact match,” she says.

The integration was carried out with a clear demonstration of trust – so clear that the entire team moved into Aiders offices on the same day the contract was signed.

Increased strength in the South West with MDE Sigma on board

Marie Grastveit, Regional Director for Aider South West, is excited about the strengthening of the region:

“With this, we are now more than 100 advisers in the South West and gain valuable experience from large-scale client engagements as well as deep expertise in complex ERP solutions. This means increased capacity for both growth companies and established clients,” Grastveit says.

More strength, more opportunities

The merger provides employees with broader development opportunities and increases capacity across regions and disciplines. Eriksen is very optimistic about the road ahead:

“We now gain access to even more talented people, larger projects and higher momentum. Quite simply, we become a powerhouse for technology-driven accounting in Stavanger,” she says.
