Trond Ingebrigtsen, former Head of PwC Legal, joins Aider as a partner. He will now lead the development of a new technology driven law practice with a focus on tax and VAT.
With more than 28 years at PwC, including eight years as Head of PwC Legal, Trond Ingebrigtsen is a heavyweight within business law. He is now joining Aider to establish and lead the new legal practice, Aider Advokatene.
Aider has technology, entrepreneurial drive and growth ambitions. I now have the opportunity to use my experience to build something new – based on a modern mindset and digital tools, says Ingebrigtsen
Aider lawyers will provide specialised legal advisory services within tax, VAT and corporate law. A core team is already in place, and the goal is to become one of Norways leading environments for business legal services – with technology as a central part of the delivery model.
Among the first to join the team is Senior Lawyer Cathrine Lund, who also comes from PwC and will become a partner at Aider.
- We will act as a strategic partner for companies facing major regulatory changes and new reporting requirements. At the same time, we see enormous potential in developing digital legal services and automated platforms, says Ingebrigtsen.
With more than 1200 employees and over 50 acquisitions since its establishment in 2019, Aider has experienced rapid growth as a competence house within accounting, technology and advisory services. According to Group CEO Andreas Vik, legal services represent a natural next step.
– Trond has previously built one of Norways leading legal environments. He will now do it again – but in a new era and with entirely new tools. We are not building a traditional law firm, but a forward looking legal practice integrated with technology and business insight, says Vik.
Vik explains that the initiative strengthens Aiders ability to deliver comprehensive services:
– Tax and VAT are closely linked to what we already deliver within accounting and finance. This enables us to support our clients more broadly and in greater depth, and to develop cross disciplinary solutions with high quality and scalability.
In October, it was announced that the European investment fund Castik Capital has acquired a majority stake in Aider. The goal is further scaling – both geographically and in terms of service scope.
With the support of Castik and Trond on board, we are well positioned to take the next step as a leading provider of legal services within tax and VAT, Vik concludes.
