Fjord Accounting, an accounting firm based in St. Hanshaugen, Oslo, is now joining the Aider competence house. – We are excited to become part of something larger and to offer even better services to our clients, says Managing Director Marlen Johansen.
Since its establishment as an independent company in 2018, Fjord Accounting has experienced steady growth. After Johansen became owner and Managing Director, the firm has tripled its revenue and expanded to a team of seven employees.
– We are a social and engaged team passionate about our profession. Accounting is fun for us, and being accessible and close to our clients is part of our identity, Johansen explains.
As the client portfolio grew, it became clear that the company needed additional capacity and specialised expertise to continue its journey.
– We considered several acquisition options, but it was only with Aider that it clicked. Professional strength, culture and values – everything aligned. In addition, the chemistry was immediately good, says Johansen.
Through the merger, Fjord Accounting gains access to Aiders specialist environments in areas ranging from HR advisory, sustainability and technology. Clients thus benefit from a much broader range of services while retaining the close and personal support they are accustomed to.
– Many of our clients have requested services that we were previously unable to offer, such as HR advisory and sustainability reporting. We now have the resources we need while bringing our own expertise, particularly in Tripletex and accounting for medical practices, says Johansen.
Lars Bratberg, Regional Director for Aider in Greater Oslo, describes Fjord Accounting as a young and energetic team with high professional standards:
– This is exactly the type of competent and enthusiastic colleagues we want. They have a strong position in the Oslo market and bring valuable knowledge, clients and culture into Aider. We are very excited about the journey ahead, says Bratberg.
Fjord Accountings decision to partner with Aider is seen by Bratberg as a clear signal that Aider is an attractive workplace for progressive accounting firms:
– We aim to be the natural choice for both clients and talent. With Fjord Accounting on board, we further strengthen our Oslo office – and demonstrate our commitment to our growth strategy, he concludes.
