Total Regnskap becomes part of Aider

Aider continues its growth in the north with the acquisition of the firm Total Regnskap. The merger brings 9 new employees to Aider – and marks the company’s very first office in Mo i Rana. “This was a match on geographical, cultural, and interpersonal levels,” says Vibeke Jensen, Manager at Aider.

A lot has happened since Tore William Johansen, more than 30 years ago, converted the barn on his farm into an accounting office. Today, his son Ørjan manages a broad client portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses and leads a team of nine employees. Ideally, however, they would have been twice as many.

“That was the reason I initially reached out to Aider. My idea was to explore a franchise model, hoping it could make both recruitment and the ever-increasing regulatory requirements for us as accountants a bit easier. I was not, at the outset, in sales mode,” says Ørjan Johansen, Managing Director of Total Regnskap.

A big step forward

But already after the first phone call, everything clicked. The chemistry and tone were so strong that neither of us wanted to end the conversation.

“We both got really excited. Suddenly, one day, we found ourselves discussing a sale — and it felt completely right. Aider’s philosophy resonates strongly with our own, while still allowing us to maintain our identity and our way of doing things. That is crucial, both for us and for our clients,” Johansen explains.

Able to deliver better services!

He now looks forward to being able to call himself what he always envisioned building: a competence house.

“Advisory services are already a significant part of what we deliver, but now we can truly structure this offering without having to rely on external providers. We gain more flexibility, capacity, and can deliver even more and better services. We have previously considered hiring specialists in advisory, HR, and payroll, but we have been just slightly too small,” he says, adding:

“Now we can offer this and much more. With Aider behind us, we will also take major steps forward in technology and systems – something that many clients will benefit from.”

 

Seizing the opportunities

Vibeke Jensen at Aider believes it is highly significant that Total Regnskap is now joining the team. She will ensure a smooth flow of both expertise and capacity between the Helgeland offices.

“We already have an office in Mosjøen, and the goal is to connect these offices closely. In addition, Ørjan and his colleagues will, of course, have the full support of Aider’s resources behind them, which creates new opportunities for both clients and employees. With such an energetic and forward-thinking team, I am confident they will seize these opportunities with both hands,” Jensen says, with support from Johansen:
